It all happened yesterday right after dinner.
My dad was out on the back porch getting our big umbrella strait because the wind had blown it down. Caleb was dinking around doing stuff of the unknown when all of the sudden he starts crying. My dad said he had fallen, and then handed Caleb to me. I took Caleb to the couch. He was holding his arm and then it hit me! Are arms supposed to have dips in them? NO!! I rush to get my dad then go get my mom. Once my mom saw it she immediately knew she needed a doctor. Not even bothering to get her shoes or her purse she had Caleb in her arms in the car. I was sent to get the shoes and purse, but after seeing his arm I ran as fast as i can. During all this my little sister was playing with her friend. When she was told to come in she started being a wacko. I literally dragged her in. I explained to her what had happened and then she was a little more understanding.
It was then that I told my Great Grandma. She told me that we should stay put and we did.
She was very understanding. I was glad that she was there. As soon as I had gotten under control and everything was rolling smoothly, I texted my friend. I told her the whole story. I didn't know what was coming up next.
After about I don't know, maybe ten-twenty minutes my mom called. The INSTA-CARE doctor refused to touch my brother, and for good reasons. The doctor knew he didn't have what Caleb needed. He sent my parents to Utah Valley Hospital.
Caleb had to be K.O. The queasier shouldn't read the next part. I almost puked! When Caleb was under they held the broken arm up, put a weight on it and held his fingers. It snapped (this is my title). Here comes the crackle part. They did that then repeated it many times. It would POP into place then right back out! EWW!!
Now what I have heard is that waking him up was hilarious. My dad apparently said, "They fixed your arm. Do you feel better?"
A few minutes later Caleb mumbles, "I don't think so."
Then my dad asks, "Are you mommy's boy or daddy's boy?"
About five minutes later, "Mommy's Boy."
That boy wears that like a title!
They put him into a hard cast and he was sent home (of course though after he was awake). He is now home after coming here at 12:20 am. We are glad that he is safe.
